Sabine Mariton is president of the Mariton group, a Provençal manufacturer that has specialized for more than 70 years in solar protection and insect protection.

Third generation of a family business based in Saint-Chamas, she took over its management in 2018 through an MBO, after 12 years spent within the company.

Under her leadership, the group has doubled its revenue, becoming one of the leading French players in the sector.

In this episode, Sabine talks to us about adaptation chosen rather than suffered: choosing to take over a company that works, without breaking anything; learning to stay quiet in meetings to let collective intelligence emerge; redefining the company’s values based on employees’ actual practices rather than the other way around.

She also talks to us about unlearning as a daily practice, the right to make mistakes built into an agile product design culture, and the Corporate Convention for Climate as a lever for positive transformation.

A portrait of a leader who has made co-construction a management philosophy and the habitability of the world her mission.
